Hi - I’m Adam, and I do a lot of things. In a nutshell, I run my own small eponymous bespoke media agency creating films, campaigns, media content.

I’m a pragmatic and experienced Creative Director, a passionate and dedicated filmmaker and photographer, a terrific producer and director, and sometime writer and copywriter. I know, but really. I never stop working, and I never tire of doing all the things I’ve been lucky enough to earn money doing. From documentary films and broadcast drama to small technical videos and intimate photography gigs, from big commercial shoots, to little corporate events, from 360 brand and marketing campaigns to bijou no-budget promos, I bring the same zest and creativity every time. Because this is what I love, this is what I do: tell stories, communicate key messages with love, curiosity, focus and energy.


PROFILE

I’m currently in post-production on a 55-minute documentary, sponsored by Aproderm, The Vastness, that follows two young guys who rowed The Atlantic Ocean unaccompanied for skin cancer awareness following the death of their father. It is a powerful and meditative story of survival and isolation in a time of economic, social and environmental change.

I have a second film, Futureless, asking the big questions about health, survival, politics, society and the environment, in pre-production.

Day to day I work on shooting events, corporates, commercials and promos, as well as consulting on promotion, marketing, advertising and communication of key messages with brands big and small.

As well as shooting both videography and photography, I have extensive experience in overseeing rebrands, brand identification and repositioning, channel launches, and 360 campaigns, working with external and internal agencies and stakeholders at executive level.  

I often find myself leading creative teams, mentoring and guiding junior creatives, running training workshops in copywriting, ideas creation, production and post-production. 

I have worldwide Producing experience – from broadcast drama for the BBC (Burn It) and C4 (Hollyoaks), to sponsored content and documentaries, from commercials for Sky, Viasat, Disney, Universal, Sony, MTV, BBC, to corporates for Orange, Radley Yeldar, Home Office, D.A.N and Millicom.

Heading up my own boutique Production Company, creating bespoke Promotions, Branded Content, Corporate Films, Documentaries, Commercials, Channel Launches & fully integrated 360 Campaigns.

 

Responsible for day to day running of the Company, from employing best creative suppliers and teams to contracts, accounts, legal and administration.

Continually identifying and driving improvements in process and communication in this busy commercial and corporate media agency

 

Proactively keeping Advance ahead of digital trends, market developments and creative and business opportunities

 

Establish workflow and creative standards for internal staff and outside vendors/contractors

 

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all work is consistent with and across all Social brands

Direct innovative art, graphic, video and text-approaches and solutions while managing internal and external personnel, finances (budget), timelines and other resources

 

Utilize & leverage Audience Research and Data group to strengthen creative work through target audience insights

2010 – 2015                CREATIVE MANAGER                      VIASAT BROADCASTNG

Responsible for guiding the development of the assigned creative team and directing workflow and creative resources  

Reviewing and providing leadership and creative feedback to creative team of their work relative to strategic goals, concepts and execution

Working with and receiving input from Editorial and Brand teams to insure work remains in the brand voice and look

Pushing the creative boundaries of traditional promotion and establishing award-winning standards that support the channel/brand voice and environment

Effectively managing multiple projects in a fast paced, ever changing environment

Supervising and reviewing all production work to ensure all goals are met and creative quality is upheld to the highest standard

 

 

2008 – 2010        FREELANCE   CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER

Directed 1st four episodes of 2nd series of BBC3 drama “Burn It”  (budget of £1 million.)

Consultant script development for ITV and BBC.

Produced Channel Launch of  Bid-Up.TV  and rebrand and relaunch of sister channel Screenshop Today.  Implemented Production and Promotion strategy and process for both channels.

 

Produced and Directed promos, commercials, corporates, and campaigns for BBC, ITV, Sky, Bullseye TV, Loki Productions, Viasat, Grasshopper Films, , Nitro, Red Productions,  MTV, Disney,  ZTV, QVC,  Space City Productions, Serious Pictures,  Bloomberg,  CNN, FactTV.
