VIRGIN CRUISE PROMOTIONAL FOR INAUGURATION OF SCARLET LADY

Well now you haven’t seen big, till you’ve seen the latest Virgin luxury cruise ship, The Scarlet Lady.

A 2,750-passenger ship, this particular lady has a total of 1,408 passenger cabins and 813 crew cabins for an actual maximum capacity of 4,400 passengers and crew.  There are 78 suites, 1,030 balcony cabins, 95 window cabins, and 105 inside cabins.[8] She is equipped with balconies on 86% of her cabins, with 93% of the cabins featuring an outside view. And she is huge. Did we mention that? Massive.

Equipped with satellite internet connectivity from SES using satellites to provide passengers with free ultra-fast, low-latency onboard wi-fi internet access, you can distract yourself all day long or, heaven forbid, you can even do business, free of the distractions of noisy kids, screaming toddlers or lurking teenagers. For this lady is also a grown-ups-only, 18+ lady. No. Kids. Allowed. her inaugural voyage of discovery route was from Miami to the Caribbean, with a port of call in Florida's stunning Key West and a visit to the beautiful island of Bimini in the Bahamas.

Working with London interior designer Tom Dixon, Roman and Williams, Concrete Amsterdam, and Softroom London, Virgin Cruises have birthed a design cornupcopia, from the VIP top deck, club lounge and sky rooms through to the unique tattoo studio, Squid Ink. From The Dock, the ship’s exclusive outdoor lounge, where you can find total peace and tranquillity, with just the gentle sound of the waves and the occasional chatter of dolphins as they play in the bow waves to The Athletic Club , with the world’s largest daybed everything is about chilling out.

 Well almost everything; there is the glitz and glamour of The Manor nightclub, when you want to take a breather from gazing wondrously at the serenity of a million stars on the glittering ocean. Or the Casino. Like most Cruise Ships, The Scarlet Lady is well equipped, with 115 Slot Machines, 10 Gaming Tables, 1 Craps Table , 2 x Roulette Tables, Texas Hold’em, Blackjack and more.

No luxury ship is complete without food, from Razzle Dazzle, where you can go full vegan. Or the Mexican fusion of Pink Agave to even street food, with eight different food stalls selling everything from tacos to sushi, burgers to bento boxes and noodles. Tasked with grabbing some “real and in situ” commercial photography, I was thrilled to spend a day inside this monumental new cruise liner from Virgin Voyages.
